Cory Quirino, tri-media personality and celebrity proudly announces a 2017 of major changes.

She ends the year 2016 bidding a grateful farewell to the Miss World Organization as its Philippine license holder

Miss Quirino successfully steered her company CQ Global Quest Inc. from 2011-2016 while accomplishing its ambitious goal of winning the Miss World crown in 2013 with the triumph of Megan Young in Bali, Indonesia. This unprecedented victory finally ended the 63-year wait for the elusive ‘blue crown’ for the Philippines. Other major accomplishments included: 2011- Gwendolyn Ruais, 1st runner-up, 2012- Queenirich Rehmann, Top 8, 2014- Valerie Weigmann, Top 25 , 2015- Hillarie Parungao , Top 10 and 2016- Catriona Gray, 4th runner up in Top 5.”

1 Since she began managing the Miss World Ph franchise, Ms. Quirino has catapulted the Filipina prominently on the international stage of beauty pageantry and her winners have gained prestige notably Ms. Young whose stardom is secure in the entertainment firmament. Through her efforts, the name Miss World, then unfamiliar to the populace is now permanently etched in the consciousness of the Filipino people.

Ms Quirino intends to focus on major projects held in abeyance when she joined the beauty pageant industry. She will resume the pursuit of her biggest passion- that of promoting health and wellness on a national scale through her various media platforms. As a strong social advocate for corporate social responsibility her advocacies will be the object of her focus: civic leadership in Rotary International District 3830, assisting Red Cross Muntinlupa as director, indigent patient care through PGH Medical Foundation, uplifting the lives of streetchildren with Tuloy Foundation and justice for female victims of violence under VACC as its Vice- President.

On the business front, plans are underway for the global launch of her own brand of allFilipino wellness and beauty products.

True to the advocacy of Beauty with a Purpose, the Miss World Organization delegation arrived in Manila for a 2-day visit in order to attend to its charitable causes.
The delegation, composed of Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna and Mr. World 2016 Rohit Khandelwal together with Mr. Steve Douglas have included in their itinerary an important visit to the Miss World “Beauty with a Purpose” Ward, a Hematology and Oncology Pediatric Isolation Area.
Ms. Alice Eduardo, President and CEO of Sta. Elena Construction and Development Corporation, donated the PhP 10M ward for the terminally-ill cancer-stricken children. It was in the urgent need list of PGH, the country’s biggest national hospital. It was inaugurated in 2015 by Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss, Mrs. Julia Morley, Ms. Alice Eduardo and Ms. Cory Quirino.

Since then, the place has been finally completed and fully operational to attend to 30 immuno-compromised children.
Cory Quirino, National Director of Miss World Philippines announced that they have permanently adopted flagship projects through PGH Medical Foundation led by its Chairman, Dr. Greg Alvior and the Tuloy Streetchildren Village Foundation headed by Fr. Rocky Evangelista.
She reiterated that it was only through the generous support of Ms. Alice Eduardo that Miss World Philippines’ dream became a concrete reality to have its own “Beauty with a Purpose” ward. To date, the mortality rate of the patients has been reduced dramatically.


Fil-Aussie Bicolana beauty wins Miss World Philippines 2016

Catriona Gray, a Filipino-Australian model and blogger, who hails from the province of Albay, bested 24 Filipina beauties and was crowned as the Miss World Philippines 2016.

The twenty-two year old stunner will represent the Philippines at the Miss World competition to be held in Washington DC, USA on December 18.

“When No. 13 was assigned to me, I was a bit apprehensive. But I will prove them that 13 is a lucky number,” Gray recalled at the coronation ball for the pageant winners at the Manila Hotel.

Catriona also bagged several special awards. She was named Best in Swimsuit, Best in Long Gown and the Fashion Runway award.

Other Miss World Philippines winners were: Arienne Louise Calingo, First Princess; Ivanna Kamil Pacis, Second Princess; Marah Munoz, Third Princess; and Sandra Lemonon, Fourth Princess.






Miss World Philippines Ties Up with Viva Entertainment

Viva CEO Vic Del Rosario and Miss World Philippines director Cory Quirino officially launched the partnership between Viva and Miss World Philippines at a press conference in Ortigas. Miss World Philippines 2015 Hillarie Danielle Parungao, was also at the press con along with the first, second and third princesses.

Miss World Philippines screening extended up to September first!

Miss World Philippines held its final screening on August 29, 2016 at the B Hotel, Quezon City, but according to Miss World Philippines director Cory Quirino, the organization has decided to extend the final screening in order to accommodate provincial candidates whose travel plans were delayed due to the recent typhoon.
