With local and international searches in high gear, the forthcoming Miss World Philippines 2011 has gathered overwhelming support for its maiden pageant and grand coronation night scheduled in September 2011 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). Early this year, country exclusive licensee CQ Global Quest Inc. (CQGQ), through its chairperson and CEO Cory Quirino, sealed a main presenter partnership with SM Development Corporation (SMDC) and tycoon Henry Sy Jr. as the main presenters of the milestone event. For the first time ever in the history of Philippine beauty pageants, the first Miss World Philippines winner will be receiving an unimaginable luxurious seaside condominium unit at Sea Residences from SMDC and the biggest cash prize of 1-million pesos from CQGQ.
Smart Communications joins as pageant co-presenter “making life extraordinary” for the candidates. In addition to its sponsorship, the Philippine’s leading wireless service provider will donate 20 personal computers inclusive of a one-year free internet usage to the underprivileged school of the candidate bearing the “most extraordinary” story.

Onboard as co-presenter is the first and largest Information and Communication Technology University in Asia, AMA Computer University. The nation’s pioneer in computer education will grant 4-year college scholarships to chosen finalists as well as lucky text senders.
The remarkable city of Puerto Princesa in Palawan, led by staunch environmentalist Mayor Edward S. Hagedorn, is a major sponsor and the pageant’s official tourist destination. The city recently garnered official honors through President Aquino’s issuance of Proclamation 182 declaring a national and international promotion campaign for the historic Puerto Princesa Underground River as one of the “new seven wonders of nature,” a global polling campaign that yielded tremendous economic, social and tourism benefits to the winning host countries. In the hope of boosting the city’s tourism charm, the Miss World Philippines organizers has partnered with Mayor Hagedorn to hold the Swimsuit Competition amid the picturesque Underground River as its natural platform.
In addition to the outpouring of local sponsors, the upcoming maiden pageant has also gained international support through Singapore socialite and renowned pageant organizer Beverly Tan of TKS Jewellery Pty. Ltd. who donated the resplendent Miss World Philippines crown and scepter made of Swarovski, simulated rubies and zirconia worth over half a million pesos.
Miss World Philippines 2011 official sponsors also include Banco de Oro, Petron, BMW, the official car of Miss World Philippines, domestic airline carrier Philippine Airlines, international airline partner Etihad Airways, pageant residence Midas Hotel, pre-pageant hotel partner Manila Hotel, air taxi Air Gurus and search partner SM Supermalls. The grand coronation night will be broadcasted by GMA-7 as the official TV network.
